Intro

The book of Exodus concludes with God’s glory filling the completed tabernacle, signaling that His presence now dwells in the midst of Israel. The God who rescued His people from slavery has now come to reside among them and lead them on their journey.

Exodus ends with a picture of covenant fulfillment, as God’s saving work results not merely in freedom, but in communion with His people.

Quote

“The gospel is this: God gives Himself to us.” - Tim Keller

Gospel Connection

The story ends with God dwelling among His people, fulfilled ultimately in Jesus and the indwelling Spirit. Exodus begins with rescue from slavery and ends with the glory of God filling the tabernacle, showing that salvation was always about relationship with God. In the gospel, Jesus “tabernacled” among us and made a way for God’s Spirit to dwell within His people forever. One day, God’s presence will fully fill the new creation, where His people will dwell with Him forever.

Response
