Intro

Israel responds to God’s grace with willing obedience, generous giving, and careful craftsmanship as they build the tabernacle exactly according to God’s commands. Every contribution and every act of service becomes part of preparing a dwelling place for God among His people. 

The repeated emphasis on obedience highlights that God’s presence is not something to reshape according to human preference, but something received on God’s terms.

Gospel Connection

God prepares our hearts as His dwelling place through the work of Christ. The tabernacle was built through willing sacrifice and faithful obedience, pointing to the greater work God would accomplish through Jesus. Through the gospel, believers are now being built together into a spiritual house where God dwells by His Spirit. Our generosity, service, and worship become responses to the grace we have already received in Christ.
