Renewed Covenant, Radiant Presence | Resources

Intro

God renews His covenant with Israel and proclaims His name as compassionate, gracious, patient, and abounding in faithful love. Though Israel failed greatly, God’s mercy proves stronger than their sin and rebellion.

As Moses descends the mountain with a radiant face, the chapter displays the transforming power of being near the glory of God.

Quote

“We are transformed by beholding Christ.”

Gospel Connection

In Christ, we are continually renewed and transformed into His image. Moses reflected God’s glory temporarily, but through the gospel believers are being permanently changed from the inside out. Jesus establishes a better covenant based on grace rather than human performance. As we behold Christ through His Word and Spirit, God shapes us to reflect His character to the world.

Response

Pray: God, renew my heart and reflect Your glory through me, making me more like Jesus each day.

Do: Spend extended time with God this week and journal what He reveals.
