Sustained by His Presence | Resources

Intro

God provides everything necessary to sustain covenant life with Him, including atonement money, cleansing water, anointing oil, Spirit-empowered craftsmanship, and Sabbath rest.

These instructions reveal that God’s presence is not sustained by human effort alone, but by His provision, grace, and power at work among His people. Even Israel’s work and worship are meant to flow from dependence upon God Himself.

Quote

“God’s grace is not just saving grace, but sustaining grace.” – Tim Keller

Gospel Connection

Jesus not only saves us but sustains us daily through His Spirit. The same God who redeemed Israel continued to provide for and remain with them, just as Christ faithfully keeps His people today. The gospel is not only about the moment of salvation but about God’s ongoing grace that strengthens, restores, and preserves us. In Christ, we find true rest and the power to endure faithfully.

Response

Pray: Lord, sustain me by Your presence every day, and strengthen me when I grow weary or discouraged.

Do: Build one intentional rhythm of rest or worship into your week.
