Early Childhood

Our Early Childhood programs are defined as infant through two years old. We have developmentally appropriate classrooms for all ages so you can worship and enjoy our services while confident that your children are well taken care of. We believe it is important to share the love of Jesus with our children from an early age. In our infant room, children hear that Jesus loves them and created them. Beginning in our toddler rooms, they hear a Bible story each week during snack time that aligns with our preschool and elementary lessons. We believe there is great value in play. Children are given many opportunities to interact with each other and play in a loving, fun environment. We maintain teacher-to-child ratios to ensure a safe and productive environment for your children and our leaders. 

*We provide snacks in all early childhood classrooms, including both a regular and a gluten-free option. If your child has allergies or specific dietary needs, we kindly ask that you send a snack from home.

We have an infant room, where we have caring, trained adults who take care of your little ones while you worship. We also have a quiet room available with cribs for sleeping babies as well as rocking chairs for nursing moms. Children may begin in this room as soon as parents feel comfortable leaving them. They will transition to the walkers rooms after they have turned one and are mobile.

Our walkers rooms are for our one and two-year-old children. In these developmentally appropriate rooms, kids have toys, games, and play equipment for their enjoyment, as well as a short Bible lesson and snack. The Bible lesson is the same as the elementary and preschool, but is presented in an age-appropriate way. Children will transition to our preschool group the Sunday following their 3rd birthday.

Finally, we have a preschool program for children ages 3 up through pre-kindergarten. Children begin in their classroom with free play, then engage in large group worship and a Bible lesson, and then return to their classroom for a snack, activity and play time. We work on Bible memorization, lesson review, and other activities that will help prepare our 5-year-olds for moving on to our elementary group. Incoming kindergarteners are promoted in the spring to our elementary program.

Elementary

Our elementary program includes Kindergarten through 5th grade. FFC strives for children to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. Our program is designed to nurture a love for God and His truth in the heart of your child. We consider it a privilege to partner with families as their children hear the gospel and grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

Our elementary children all begin together in the Big Room with Connection Time with friends and leaders. After a time of large group worship and learning our unit Bible verse and main question, children are dismissed to small group time based on grade level. Small group time is intended for the Bible lesson, activities, and further discussion and relationship building.

We designed this time to be fun and educational, and centered around God’s Word. We aim to make the Bible practical, applicable, and relevant to kids. We use The Gospel Project curriculum that speaks to kids and centers on the Gospel.
